Many people loose a lot of their childhood memories when they move from one house to another. A lost picture, journal, or even childhood toy can never be replaced. That is why when you are moving the order of things should be that you pack the memories first. You do not want to loose anything during the process of moving, especially those memories that have been built up since you moved into your old home.

Before moving the first thing you should do is get a box and label it memories. Depending on the amount of people living in your home will determine how big the box should be, or if you need more than one box. You should put everything that you think is a keepsake in this box. From pictures, to baby books, everything that will remind you of the memories you had in this home should be packed away. Label the box “Our Memories from (your address)” and tape it up. This box will now have all of your memories from the old house inside.

This box doesn’t necessarily have to be unpacked, as it could be placed in your new home attic. As long as it is labeled and you know where you put it, then it does not matter if you take the stuff out of not. In fact, packing away your memories in a box and putting them in a safe place will allow you to pull that box out when you have children, grandchildren, and so forth. A box full of memories is a great way to teach your children about your family history.

Packing away the memories first will surely make your move a lot less stressful. You will not have to worry about losing your son’s baby book or the first family picture that you took. This is one less thing to worry about on the big move it you pack it up and label it immediately.More info here: 25 Tips & Tricks For An Organized Move
